Hi everyone,

Just a quick enquiry really, I have a ibiza 1.8T. Does anyone know what size discs I can go up to on the front with the standard calipers.

Thanks for your help!

They're 280mm now.
A different caliper mounting bracket would be needed to space this out to a larger disk.

The Brembo conversion takes a 305x30 disk, vs the 280x22 disk fitted as standard. 16" wheels are needed for Brembos, but 15" are OK with 280's as a minimum.

You would need to sort a diameter disk to go for first and see how you can get a suitable mounting bracket. Hi-Spec Motorsport brakes make these sort of things.

rally design do a 305 option for 280mm discs using standard calipers.
they ain't much cheaper than a brembo conversion(about 100ukp)and i suspect by bills reports not a patch on 4 pot calipers, although tarox do a 4 pot caliper for most standard discs ,not sure on price as i'm also thinking of this for my own 256 discs. 4 6 or even 10 pot braking will reap great rewards on a stnd disc without the need for bigger wheels, consider this when going for bigger discs if ya have to spend more dough on new wheels:cheers:

Some 16" wheels yes.
eg. Wheels like the Ibiza Cupra-R, 7x16 ET35 OZ's.

Not stock Ibiza Cupra wheels tho. They don't fit.

Jasons Rally design bracket thing seem your best option if you want to retain your existing calipers.
