Just e-mailed AmD about ChipStar.
It would be THE solution for someone living outside the UK who does NOT have the support like someone living in the UK. There you could even drive to AmD and find out what's wrong. With the ChipStar I can remove it if I don't like the way it performs. Price is just £15 extra (£365).

Don't think any of you lads already have this, but have any of you already heard stories of it? Is it reliable? Do you get less power because it's not the ECU itslef that is being tuned? etc etc.

Please let me know......if it's all that it's jacked up to be..........ME WANT!!!

I like the sound of this cos what you could do is remove it before you had a service done at the dealer. That way if something needed doing under the warranty they couldn't refuse to do it saying you have invalidated it???!!

My point exactly.

I think I'm gonna give it ago and see what happens.

e-mailed them yesterday. Maybe tomorrow I'll get a reply.

Jimmyboy,

http://www.autotechnics.net/main.html

Check out this company mate, they use Superchips chips and then remap em, but they other a 2yr warranty on top of the Seat warranty.

Plus they only in Gillingham, which isnt a million miles away.

I know Gilly has this chip, and I will be getting it when I can afford it.

Just a thought mate
