Following a recent trip to Crail Raceway with a few lads from the forum, I have decided to start this tread.
This is for people to share their 'true' claim to fames.

I'd like to start.

I managed to beat a Clio V6 up the quarter mile, not just once but twice :D How happy was I. bet ya he was gutted

Oh and completly humped a Civic Type R . This one was a suprise coz I thought they were quick. nah.

My best time for the day was 14.8secs. Not bad for a skoda.

Anyway plese feel free to add your experiences.

I saw you going down the strip, a mate of mine said lets see the clio whip that skoda. I told him it would be close, he laughed till you launched off the line and beat it :) :)

Thats one very fast car!

//\\//\\ark

P.S. was nice to have a bit of sunshine and no rain for a change!

No claims to fame but i was very dissapointed with my standard Ibiza 20VT. First go I had the TC on and managed a 16.2. Took it off and did a couple of runs that felt faster. Checked my times and was into the mid 16's!!!! Gutted. I expected to get in the 15's. So much so that I might be considering selling the bad boy. (see thread on how much is my car worth) Not just that reason for selling my car but its a greedy *******. £30 to fill it and I used a full tank going from Aberdeen to Crail and back. Considering buying a new mini - no joke

Hey guys.

Not much to report on from today, wasn't too impressed with the car today - seemed to be having an 'off' day. Best time was 15.198 and most of my times were around the 15.6 mark. Quickest time I have ever run at Crail in the Cupra is a 14.914.

Like you Gareth, I'm consider getting rid of the Beeza and importing a Leon Cupra R.

Anyways, gotta go to the pub.

Catchyes later.

i found myself the beeza is not the best for 1/4 mile runs - in gear acc is superb tho

best time for me was 15.58. engine temps were high and starts were poor.

I am just glad they don't have noise regulations:devil:

Is this for 1/4 mile only or what?

If not, I beat a TVR Chimera in a local Solo event. And an Audi quattro. :) In my 2.0 8v.

4x4 is a key element in good 1/4 mile runs.

I would at this point like to put in a little disclaimer. I and I'm sure other parties do not promote the use of excessive speed in any way shape manner or form.
Speeds quoted are approx and are in km/h. cough, cough.;)

Nice one on that Merc by the way.

Civic type R, beaten on 1/4 mile, no probs!, and before all you lot start, he might have been a poor driver, but i was worse at 1/4 mile runs

Well, we just had some fight with a friend of mine who owns a Civic VTI (with panel filter in modded airbox + back box), he CAN drive. The VTI can keep up with me in first (possibly due to my spinning wheels), in second gear im beginning to slowly pulling away and in third & fourth i'm humiliating the civic. I have also driven a Type-R integra, and to be the honest, i don't really think i could beat it 0-60 wise with my chipped beezer.
