thought as a few are coming to SCN a seperate thread should be made for the pioneer satnav unit as its a bit tricky.

Thought the black disk came with the AVIC-X1 (CNDNV-05) and the green one came with the X1R (CNDNV-50) ?
I May Be wrong.

ive got the x1R and its got a green disk theres a yellow disk on pionner site which i think is the old one, on the ebay page says it has the m6 toll not tried mine on that yet, so it may have it.

M6 toll is on my green one as ive done the trip twice. Looks like the old disk to me as they new one comes out a few months into the new year at least

right thats ok then, so we have to buy the new disk then? its not on anexchange basis? i thought i saw Russboy post somthing about an exchange.

I think i've seen one but i'm not sure. Does the X1R come with a mute-in lead for a car phone kit?

on the AVIC -X1R can you only have the sat nav working with the disc in or can you have sat nav while listening to some music as well (cd's etc)

A few ways you can, buy a CD changer (most places have deals on these packages) and leave the main slot for the sat nav disk, or it has the function to memorise your route when you punch it in (plus about 10 mile run off I think) then you can remove the sat nav disk and put your DVD or CD’s in the main slot

does anyone have the voice controll kit?
i bought it today ot tried the voice bit but mounted the remote on the wheel but nothing, put it in front of the unit and it works fine, i also have the other wheel remote that came with an old headunit and this doesnt work either.
do i have to have the voice recog turned on and the rca lead part connected to the headunit for this to work properly?
P.s Scotty no speed camera or POIs can be added to it :(

Where did you put the mic? I have mine on the A pillar and it seems to pick it up fine?
Remote is cr4p, as i have to put mine right infront ofthe unit to make it work
just ordered freeview and an amplified aerial, so ill see how this all performes and let you all know, also i can get hold of the latest purple disk with new layout from a lad i was speaking to last night, anyone interested in a group buy from him?

I think the button images change on the latest disk, apart from that updates map.
Had mine since end of May - its the one you get with the new Bluetooth model but not released for upgrades yet - just need to find someone with the new model ;)

the latest disc as far as i know is the purple 2006 disc
