anyone ever looked into this one? tsr are looking crazy money! would you believe 4.5k +vat for just a 20 bottom end without head. anyway had looked into this to a small degree. our 1800 shares its cc with a 1800 mk2 golf gti. it also shares its connecting rods with the same model. do the similarities end there or has anyone scoured through ekta to check on this.will 20crank fit in. we dont need timing disc as this is done at the head i believe. any thoughts on this at all please.

Are you talking 1.8 20VT engines?
I am surprised you say the rods are the same as MK2.

They looked different to me I thought.. (maybe wrong)

I feel an ETKA browse coming on :p
