The Becker Mexico Pro (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3772) should fit in quite well with the OE look and sound better than the OE equipment. Someone's already put one in theirs on here, so it might be worth doing a little search.

that would be me, do a search under my username.

blends in really well with the dash, looks like it should always have been there.

I have the Becker Indianapolis (Basically a Mexico Pro with satnav) and can confirm it looks and sounds great.
As an added bonus, the Ipod interface for these units is the best out of all I have seen - almost as easy as using an Ipod itself.

Fitted a Becker Mexico Pro (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3772&cadid=df85598bca98d5ba00fe090a3345f0f0) today, in place of my Alpine 9835R (http://www.alpine-europe.com/alpine/cms/details.php?p=275&details=1), and wow what a difference!!

It's in a completely different league compared to my Alpine when it comes to sound quality (and the Alpine was a lot more expensive when I first bought it), even on the Leon's standard speakers it sounds awesome. The Becker matches the dashboard perfectly, even the illumination dims at the same rate as the instruments. Looks like its supposed to be there.

Need an Ipod and cable next, can do away with my CD's then.

firstly a hello to all this been my first post.

Picked up my lcr 225 a few weeks ago and want to change the hu. Really like the look of this as it appears to fit in very well.

Arctic just got a couple of questions if you don't mind

1 where did you get the side facias ... tried searching but no joy
2 what other accories did you need to fit eg wireing adaptors
( would this do it http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1305)

3 how are the cd's loaded can't tell by the picture

Thanks in advance

Hi,

1)Got the side bits from work, but halfords sell the part number is FP-18-00 i think, costs about £8
2)All you need was the wiring adaptor as in your link and the face plate and thats it (some people say you need an ariel bosster but i havent bothered)
3)The front flips down allowing you to put CDs in

Hope it helps, the becker is a brilliant unit and looks so good in the leon as the red is almost an exact match to the dials :)

i would go with the booster personally, i found the radio reception to be pretty poor without it

I got mine from http://www.nexxia.co.uk/Car_Stereo_fitting_kits/seat.htm

Pretty sure my Becker uses the PC5-52 aerial adaptor (on this page http://www.nexxia.co.uk/Car_Stereo_fitting_kits/antenna_adaptors.htm) and not the one supplied in that kit.

Got myself an Ipod 30gig Video and of these now http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4743, hid the ipod well out of sight, and no more CD's for me :D
