Has anyone else had a problem witht he paintwork fading?
Its metallic red and on the bonnet the paint has started to look a bit mottled, has anyone else had this?

I am thinking of getting it sprayed and the rest of the car mopped at the same time, is this the only option?

Can I try any type of cutting compound/paintwork cleaner

Cheers

Ian

When you say mottled, do you mean from the result of stone chips?

Mine has also faded. My car is almost 6 years old and I have for the last 2.
I'll be doing a full detail in spring and hope to improve the situation.

Its a November 2000, paintcode LS3U
Its mottled in the way that the colour looks patchy and faded in places across the bonnet.
There are stone chips but thats something else.
I did post in Mk1 Leon forum but was told to post here instead
