keep loosing settings

have had a replacement stereo in my cupra since i got it a while ago. everytime i take the key out the ignition i seem to loose all the settings. its doing my nut in now tuning it in every time [:@] . its seems as if its not wired to perminant power?? does it need to be? can anyone help? anyone had this problem?

check your red and yellow wires in the back are wired correctly, if you have red to red and yellow to yellow then try red to yellow and vice versa.

yeah sounds like you got the constant and switched lives the wrong way round
