I'd say gor for it... or rifle drilled rods..
judging by the small end rattle mine has :(
After doing some research I noticed that golfy had the spec mine will have 3/4 years ago!
Only difference being valves, that brings me to question for bill,i noticed when researching bigport heads that the valves were bigger? So does this mean there is a different set of inconel valves? Also noticed people saying one-piece valves for £250,i thought they were £400? Also seen people saying pauter rods were £400,i thought they were nearer £700?
I've seen some eurospec rods, are these any good?

valves are not bigger. same
you can get cheaper valves... but they will not be inconel. Theyt are £375 inc vat from me for one piece stainless steel inlet valves and inconel exhaust valves (which are never one piece, as the tip has to be hardened for collet grooves)
I have previously done Pauters for £500 ish, but exchange rate was favourable then.
Eurospec rods seem strong enough in mine so far, but then again so were my std ibiza ones... (except they did'nt rattle like these do)
rifle drilled next time me thinks,.
Well i think i might have to purchase some valves from you then bill, what rods do you recommend?Pauter?Could you give me a price, thanks mate.

Pauter you can think around $740usd plus shipping, duty, vat plus $45/rod for rifle drilling option.
*roughly*
from photographs, a mate says my pauters are identical to his eurospecs. same supplier???

A local mechanic to me has offered to fit my rods,do you need specialist equipment as he is a good guy but i don't know alot about internals??

The head bolt drive is different, so he will need the right drive socket.

valves I woudl leave to someone who has done this before..
VERY expensive mystake if assembled incorrectly. (broken/snapped valve drops into cylinders and crunches engine big time) - all happens in seconds.
ummm, shame i can't take it to the badger garage!!

have a read of this>> http://badger-5.com/bin/5v-installation-note-supertech.pdf
very expensive learning experience for those unlucky enough to have this happen to them.

Would you be able to fit them to mine mate, rods aswell?Drop me a pm mate,it's hard to find a good garage.
