I want to get a new Gearknob for the gear stick.....is it possible to change this and if so what are the best ones to get?
It should just unscrew (mine does) along with the gaiter;)

hi peachykins, try this knob from "raid" a little expensive but it looks very good and comfortable

I think the person who had it before me must have changed it. It just wont unscrew at all.
You have to really twist - it's got glue on it (that you need to crack)

Do they come standard with the grey gater right up to the gear knob?

Will do thank you very much for your help......i could always take a photo of it with my digi camera then u can see it better. But tht wont be till tomorrow cos it's getting dark now and i just got back from gym and can't be bothered to get off me butt :)
Ibiza gear sticks are not threaded so it wont screw off.
Sounds like gaiter isn't standard but gear knob may well be.
Assuming the gear knob is original.
Remove the lower part of the gaiter by simply pulling it free from the plastic surround (near ashtray). Lift the gaiter - you should find a rubber gaiter. Lift this and you should find a brass clip that clamps the gear knob in place. Get a flat head screw driver and place it in side the little bend in the clamp. turn to slacken and the gear knob should pull off. Tried this on an Arosa and 2001 ibiza.
If the gear knob is not original its probably held on with screws. The lower part of the knob should unscrew and reveal 3 or so allen bolts. Undo them and the gear knob should lift off.

I like it!!! Where did u get it from (www??) and how much??? Lastly couldn't help noticing you got gauges in console is yer motor a cupra R or added???

hi shock, i bught the knob at my frind tuning shop here in israel, but heres the site

as for the gauges the cars that came to israel is calld "20vt sport"
they dont came with the "cupra" finish but they have the same specification, only a faw of the first cars came with the gauges as standrt.(lucky me:) )

dont go for the 3" exhaust, you better put 2.5" you'll get more torque
(i installd the super sprint 2.5" full exhaust).
and insted of the "NOS" and "K04" go for the garret T3/T4 hybrid, it's costs a little more but it's more efficient(300hp) and more reliable(ATP have this kit).
(this is my next project:D )
