I know Hobins always get good reviews if you want a dealer but has anyone used an independent in the area. Carford garage in Ashton sells itself as a VW/Audi/Seat specialist est. 17yrs, also Volkservice in Blackpool. Any experience of these ?
Friend of mine used a indi and had to go to Hobins to get the repair rectified, he spent around £200 with independent and paid Hobins £130, Independent charged for diagnostic and unable to fix fault, Dealer Diagnose and fixed fault. Would you take your pet to the butchers maybe that was a bit strong, but i know that Hobins have only been opened 3 years and the manager is getting it right in the service department, he has invested in staff training, thats the difference, SEAT trained technicians, go down and have a look around.....
Volkservice are just round the corner from me. There a cracking garage IMO. They would be the only garage i would send my car to for any work to be carried out. They had my mates car for the whole day pretty much as it had the clutch and brakes bleed, And also he asked if they could go for a drive after as it was going in limp mode. They only charged him for the brake and clutch to be bleed for £40.
