Hi everybody how's it hanging.
Question does anybody know if it's possible to mount a 6 gearbox in stead of a 5 gearbox in the Seat Ibiza Cupra R.
And if yes wich type.

The answer is yes - you can get a 6 speed box from suppliers such as Tim Tyles Racing in the UK to fit in the 02A box (I think it is a Quaiffe set of cogs). Most people seem to go for a Quaiffe ABT limited slip differential first.
I have thought of getting six speeders but have decided against it - 16v engines have a wider rev range and don't need to waste time changing cogs - the latest Focus RS only has a five speed - Increase the efficiency of power delivery - Limited Slip diff and uprated front engine mount - its cheeper than a six speed will give you better enjoyment of any engine modifications in my opinion.
If you are going to fit a 6 speed - do you want a higher top speeed?
You will probably have to change the final ratio so 6th is acting like an overdrive.... and the 5th of on the 6 speeder is where your old 5th was. Thats what i'd do - I always feel i could do with an extra ratio above 5th, it pulls from 30mph..... But is alot to pay when you country won't let you go above 70mph...
