got the above car begining of week, and so far very impressed

handling wise - better than the leon cupra anyday, non of this body roll like the cupra, less roll helps you go round corners far better, also one thing i find weird is that when you push down on tdci, springs feel soft, lots of bounce, compared to leon, takes bumps well also, but going round corners, expected body roll, but none atall.

steering - sharp

engine - great, in top gear on motorway could easyly out perform my old leon, 1st and 2nd poor, 3rd match cupra, 4th/5th out perform, no sweat.
throttle response is instant, this is the best diesel engine on market at present, (test drove all the other makes)

very happy with my choice of derv drinker, higher recomended.

Glad you like it Dave (love it by the sound of it!). I don't think it's a class winner for no reason; all the Mags loved it. Please keep us up to date with how it goes.

I have never been really a fan of Fords, but I had a base level 1.8LX New Mondeo as a hire car last year in between my company car going back and getting my Leon. I was amazed by its handling, fantastic driving postion and smoothness of the car. VERY impressed!
