Is it just a straight swap for the Mk2 Golf?

Just ordered mine, thanks Bill..... now all I have to do is buy some new wheels!

Yet another month in which I've failed in my plan to reduce my debts!

Bill, at a guess I'd say that the spare wheel wont fit over the Brembos, but saying that do they use the same spare wheel on the Cupra Rs? If so then it must fit!

The spare wheel thing is easily resolved by running the space saver on the rear only, which would be my preference anyway...
Not sure what spare wheel is fitted on Ibiza-R's though... Anyone?

It will depend on the model Mk2 you have.
If it has 256mm front disks now, then it should be OK yes.
Brake line would need to be checked however as the Ibiza fitment is rearward of the strut and a Golf Mk2 is forward of the strut. Otherwise mechanically, the hubs remain the same.

You need to check your wheels are large enough and with enough offset.

You need 38mm clearance between the wheels hub face and rear of the spokes and be 16" diameter minimum.
