Ok I'm a w*nker.
Tried to play with the 'Aura" in me cupra R without reading the manual. Thought I could change, 'codify', the security code but I've locked the unit out instead.
I've now read the manual to see what a t1t I've been.
The unit is in '2 SAFE' mode. Book says that after a time interval it will allow another go to unlock it (I have the code that I now realise was already set - DOH!), but how long is this? Am I missing something, It's been the same since 2pm now?
Oh well I was thinking of binning it anyway............

You have to leave it ON for a period of time. Usually about an hour, maybe more. Then the unit will prompt you for the code. Don't get it wrong again!!!! Period increases each time.
The manual information is a load of B******ks
I managed to lock myself out too. Spent ages trying to code in. In the end I took it to my local Seat Dealer and they explained that there can be a fault with Auro unit. Got a replacement under warranty.
I've now replaced it with a much better Sony head unit and auto-changer.

Just the radio on. I left mine for about an hour, dunno if it was 'ready' sooner.
I'd remove the raido unit, and toss out the CD changer, then get your self an MP3 cpable headunit and you won't notice the loss of CD changer and love the increase in glove box space. I've got the Sony CDX-MP70 which has a cool fold down fiasca that reveals a slide out CD tray all mechanical. mmmmmmm
If you feel very wealthy you could go for the Sony MEX-1HD MP3. It has 10GB of hard drive to upload your CD's onto.:)

Grrr it's such a rip-off tho :( Creative's Jukebox 3 had 20gb and is 300quid... how do sony justify 4 figure prices???
Sorry, just narked i can't get a good headunit with a hard drive instead of CDROM for reasonable money..
There's always the Neo Jukebox 20-GB at about £400.
I Don't know what the qualities like though!
I'd get annoyed with those HD based ones where you have to load a CD into it, and it then makes a copy of the CD. I'd rather have a totally removable device which i could plug into my PC and make my own mixes.
