Right it's time she went down !!! No not her the car :D I only want a 30/40mm drop so what do I want ??

I've done a little research and obviously buying just the springs is soooooo much cheaper but what am I not getting (in terms of the drive) by not buying the full suspension kit ?

I've been looking at the G-max range of springs so any advice appreciated.

Thanks

What springs have you got and apart from the bumpy ride how does your beeza look ?? Are you happy with the drop ?

If G-Max are the same as the old Jamex and I suspect they are my advice would be to look elsewhere.......

Back are eibach and front are raceline......35mm drop.

Just looked at your pics and a 35mm drop looks just right for me I think. Cheers Thew you've kind of mind up my mind for me. Thanks.

HEY guys!
Check out this question...(some of you might laugh a lot)
Can i lower my beeza without buying new springs? I mean, can i lower my car for about 30/40mm with the springs which are originally on the car?

Take the 40 profile tyres off and just run on the alloys!

No, seriously now, there is a company somewhere that does a clamp to hold the spring coils together and thus lower the ride height. Haven't got the info to hand but will try and dig it out over the next couple of days for you.

IMO though I wouldn't try saving money on lowering by doing something like this 'cos you must be changing the spring characteristics and could be putting yourself at risk. Buy the springs and be safe.

I went for AVO springs which give a 40mm drop but they sent the wrong one's !!!!

I've now upgraded to a set of Eibach which only drop 30mm so lets hope these will be ok and drop enough.

I've lowered my Cordy with H&R springs. With the 30mm drop I find is enough without replacing the dampers. I've been very pleased with there quality. They had set me back around $400Aus fitted.

I wouldnt tamper with the original springs (ie cut, compressed,or heated) as the handleing will go out the window....ie too bouncy.

Too bouncy, you should see me in my Ibiza when I'm inpersonating Colin McCrae (I wish) on the country lanes !!:D My head comes out twice the size where it hits the roof so much :D
