collected flah red ibiza cupra yesterday :D - so far so good - but no cupra badge next to gear stick !! Now on order.
I have a few questions which I could do with having answers to. Can anyone help?
1. The ventalation system seems to me to have 3 options - manual, auto and air con. However, what does auto do that manual doesn't?. Also, on auto is it possible to stop the air con coming on?. I'd prefer to have it off all the time to keep the fuel consumption up.
2. When I turn the ignition off there is a buzz coming from the front of the engine, but it goes off after about 10 minutes. The fan is switched off. Is this normal?.
3. should there be a spanner with the tool kit? The manual refers to one but my car doesn't have it

Auto works by keeping the in-cabin temperature at the level you set it. It can't do this pumping out air alone, so HAS to use the AirCon to control it.
Yes, its a bugger, but i tend to use the manual option these days.
The noise you hear is the the turbo cooling system......water being pumped round to the turbo so that the oil cools much faster than leaving on its own....so that the turbo will not seize when you next start the engine!
Ingenious design, but still best to leave the engine running for a few minutes after a hard blast.
It extends the life of turbo thats all.
Ermm.......not sure about the spanner. I'll have a look.

Answers I hope:
1. Auto is just that.. keeps the temp to what you set it to. If hot outside it will use AC. Front screen demist automatically switches on AC.
2. this is the auxilliary water pump recirculating water past the turbo and into the cabin. Keeps turbo cool after running also. A very good feature.
3. My spanner is missing also?

Hi guys,
As mentioned in the car manual there should be in the spare mini wheel a spanner,a jack, a 2 sided screwdriver , a 13/10 mm open key and a hook for pulling out the plastic covers off the wheel nuts. Look at the car manual, compare to what you got and go back to the dealer!!! The valets just LOVE to pick on those items!!!
