anyone know who does a replacement air filter for a toledo v5 (170) no one seems to list them (not even k&n website)

Try looking under Golf V5, it should be the same Air system.
The Leon Cupra has identical airbox to the Golf IV GTi so any panel filters made for the Golf tend to fit the Leon.
I fitted a RamAir panel filter to my Cupra, that is for a Golf IV, slotted straight in no problem.
I think you should find something for a V5 engine no probs.
