I was up at Crail yesterday and ran a quarter mile best time of 15.23 seconds in my standard beezer cupra. how does this time compare to anybody elses times?
Also what kind of times does a beeza cupra run with the oettinger chip and turbo intake pipe. I am intending to do this conversion next and want to know roughly what times I can expect to get once I have this done.
Cheers for any help.
15.23 is v.good for a standard Ibiza.
I think Lee Chung has the quickest Ibiza 1/4 mile so far with 15.01?

Thats an excellent time...
My old 200bhp Jetta only does that..
Not tried my 210 down a 1/4 mile yet, so don't have any figures, but based on your std cupras times, mid to high 14's should be possible.
You must have a superb launch technique... (mine sucks!)

Hello!
15.23 is certainly a pukka time for a std beeza...i mean, you've beaten a AmD modded car with that!!
however, i'd like to see Bill do a run with his 7.5 x 16 tyres.....i run 7x17's, and i think they are definitely preventing me from going into the 14's (i was sooo damn close!)
I might put some 16's on next year, and have a few goes.
Oh, my launch technique is also crap, i change up too early (according to Dave Clark) and take too long on the change into 2nd too! DC reckons i could save a couple of tenths just by ramming it into 2nd on full throttle....but i just can't make myself do it!!!!!
Its also a case of sensing if the wheel or clutch is slipping....thats why DC bettered everyones perosnal times at Alconbury cos he's a pro, and we are amateurs!!!!

I'd like a go at 1/4 mile in the beezer, but my launch technique is truely shite :)
No corners to get me interested in drag racing I'm afraid.
If I can do 15.2 in my Jetta, I should be able to get the Ibiza into the 14's.
Maybe I should put on some 15" rims eh?
