Bill,

Looking for a price for the Evo Shield and Longer Bolts. Im about to replace my Inlet Mani with a nice polished one, and been reading that this is a worthwhile investment. Would appreciate your comments

2005 LCR.

Cheers mate

I'm looking at getting one of these if I have the manifold off so would be interested too.

Phil - Are you planning on doing it yourself?

Err no, Unfortunatly i am mechanically disabled, i struggle with putting the washer fluid in, All my work is done at Votex in Congleton, they feel sorry for me and take pity.

Bolts etc come with the kit fella. I got mine from bill (think its £90) and BBT had it fitted within 30min!
Had the bracket that comes with the kit (extended version) powder coated but forgot it when i had it all done. Bill did say its not really needed tho.

Well worth it if your getting the mani swapped over as thats what i did with mine

I got the insulator on its own from Bill, and got bolts and gaskets from SEAT.

Gasket 028129717D (need two) £3.30
Bolts N10117403 (need eight) £0.44

The bolts look exactly like the standard ones, but are longer.

yep..
I have insulator gaskets only at the moment.. (not EVOshield ones) but made from the same type material... and much cheaper. £35 for the gasket plus delivery

Getting the EVOshield ones from the US is a pain, and works out expensive by the time you allow for carriage, duty and vat. I have a couple of largeport EVOshields in stock and a couple of VR6 ones.

Bill the insulator gaskets you have, there not the power gaskets are they?

I heard they dont last very long and warp etc under the heat

absolutely not Power Gaskets (which are total shite IMHO... nasty quality)

These are phenolic resin solid gaskets, same material type as EVOshield.
no warping or compression unlike Power Gaskets (PTFE)

Insulator Gasket - £35
Gaskets x 2 - £6.50
Bolts x 8 - £3.52

Total - £45.02 plus delivery.
(whilst stocks of smallport gaskets continue @ this low price - when they run out the next batch price is higher unfortunately, £35+vat next time)

bill
