Hi,

I just ordered my new Seat Leon (still 2002 year model) ;) and I just found out it comes with a 'built-in radio-tape'.

I would like to fit a CD/MP3 unit instead and was wondering if I need a kit in order to put a generic radio into the Leon.

Do you know if I need one? where can I get one?

Thanks,
Rani

You'll need a Facia plate for an aftermarket stereo to fit into, also maybe a new ISO cable harness, but most new In Car Stereo's come with ISO connectors.

I changed the headunit in my Leon with no problems.

You can see my headunit pics here:

I used a facia kit by Autoleads (FP-18-00), looks good as you can see, fits well and wasn't too expensive.

You'll have to contact them i think, to see if they can export the items to you.

Hi,

Saw your alpine and it looks great. Anyhow, I already searched Autoleads' site and found their distributer yesterday, even e-mailed them. Unfortuantly they don't import the Leon kit. I did, however, find a place which has the kit for approx 20 GPB (which is a bit more expensive then in the UK, but is affordable).

Thanks - you really helped me out here,
Rani

(I'll hopefully post my install pics when it's ready - can't wait!!! :) )
