Why is it with the 1.8t engine that when you go big turo to get say 360bhp we only need 440cc injectors yet on my mates gt4 he needs 600cc injectors and if there isnt a reason other than his is a jap car or the 1.8t is more advanced then can we get bigger injectors than 440cc or not

because his 600cc injectors weren't on as much, or ran a lower pressure......

or because his tuner likes to over fuel it

The guy with a GT30R on his ibiza runs 900cc injectors...

Control of larger injectors is likely to be tricky on things like cold & hot starts etc.

440cc injectors (3 bar) running at 4 bar usually is adequate for mid 300's

so could you get say 600cc injectors running at 4 bar for our cars then, the reason i ask is i would rather have more than enough of something just incase i want to go even further later on than buy 440cc injectors and then think i want more then have to buy 600cc ones

380cc @ 3bar

the question is.... what turbo, who to tune, what do they tune to?

also fuel pump

will it pump sufficient flow @ 4 bar continuously?

meltdown if not

As m0rk says, injector size should be advised by whoever is going to map the car to avoid mis-match of parts vs mapping
