I have got a 1.4 seat ibiza sxe with 17" wheels i would like to lower it but im unsure how low it can go without doing anything to the arches?
Also how does lower the car affect the ride quality of the car?
The year of the car is 1997

I think 40mm is your limit, aslong as you have 7x17", which i think you will have.

Use a reputable kit for lowering eg Bilstein, Eibach, Spax.

The cheaper kits like G-Max and PI will cause you no end of problems.

Eibach lowering springs are a 30mm drop and are roughly £120.

Bilstein full kit is £500 fitted (includes dampers and springs)

OR i may be selling the complete suspension off my cupra turbo (3000 miles) people are checking at the mo to make sure it fits.

If ur interested let me know

Cool thanks, also does it affect the ride of the car much e.g. make it alot more bumpy?
I only can afford the springs as i am getting a full bodykit for it :)

Depends where you live.

Grant thought his roads were bumpy till he saw where i live.

I could put up with the ride, it was bumpy, but not enough to make me wish i didnt have them done

They improve the handling and turn in a great deal.
