View Full Version : B pillar trim detailing
This question is mainly aimed at Leon owners but any advice will be greatly received. Just wondering what you lot use to tidy up the black B piller trim on the trailing and leading edges of the doors. Tried bumper care and poorboys natural look but it still looks uneven abd a bit bleached out. Any ideas?

If it's the bit I'm thinking of, I used CarLack 68 interior/plastic polish on my ST. Not quite a Leon, but the same sort of thing.
its the carbon fibre/honeycomb sticker between front and rear windows. is the car lack stuff water based?

No idea. This is the stuff I've got - http://www.carsparkle.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F4572486&rnd=1553572&rrc=N&affl=&cip=&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=151&cat=interior&catstr=HOME:interior
You can try asking mark@carsparkle on here if you want a definate answer.
If its the same as the Ibiza, i use Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing, comes up a nice glossy black.
thanks fellas. When it stops bloody raining i'll give it a try
Thats an age old family secret i let you in there, keep it on the low ok?

Hi,
Plastic Cleaner is polydimethylsiloxane emulsion - its not water based at all. Also, if you do not like a shiny gloss (unless you want to water it down) then I would not advise CL68-Plastic Cleaner. However, if you do its brill and it contains strong UV filters to prevent plastic from cracking.
If you want a semi matt finish then I would advise you use CL68 Special Cleaner but make sure you wipe it down properly. ;)
