Toldedo/Altea radio question

Hi there, new to this - very good - site.
After two Alhambra TDIs, a blue X plate and a silver 04 plate, decided to down size. Now drive an eclipse blue Toledo Sport TDI and love it.
True, the Altea is arguably better looking, but we needed the bigger boot and after all, I can't see the back when I'm driving!

Question with regards to the SVC option on the radio. SVC allows the volume to automatically adjust according to the speed of the car. I think it's great and saves a lot of fidling about. It has four settings, off/low/med/high.

My problem is that the setting does not seem to get saved, and cancels itself out each time the radio or ignition are switched off.

Is this how it is supposed to work on this model? Is there anyway this setting could be permanently saved?

Welcome to the Toledo owners - not many of us around!
True, the Altea is much prettier, buit the Toledo certainly has a bigger boot and the shape grows on you (or me anyway!)
There is not much information exchnage in the "New Toledo" section and I mostly post in the "Altea" section as the car is basically an Altea anyway and there is much more activity within that section.
I am sure if you look through the posts, you will find some reference to this problem - the setting should be saved after it has been set, mine does! You don't say if your car is new or s/hand, but it could be a fault with the radio - earlier units appeared to have a this problem.

And yes, I agree, the shape does grow on you. I find that the colour has a lot to do with it too.
