Thats shite mate, my mums Mk4's just been done all down one side and its a right state. To have the back quater, front door and front wing resprayed is £518 done by SEAT. Might be worth it as you only have one panel to do and it wont affect your paint warranty.

Hi Guys, sorry I've been away in the Lakes all weekend.

Iain, its on the NSR panel, and now I have had a closer look and calmed down, it appears as if its a handbag or something similiar that has scratched it as just above it as a very faint one in the same shape. Still annoys me though. I'm going to go down to *****s tomorrow and ask them about it.

Here's a few pics. The light scratches seem to have polished out by hand.

lol@ swirling, saw that in first pic

The scratch may be within the ability of a scratch repair company, but the length, hieght and line of it will put most off.....

Took it to Smith Knight Fay in Stockport as they have a bodyshop, and they have managed to get rid of the scratch...only problem is now where they have polished it out you can see where the scratch was! They sending me a quote for a respray now though.

And the quote is £326.07

This involves
Removal of NSR Lamp and 1/4 Panel window
Renew Glass Bonding kit
Prepare and paint NSR 1/4 Panel

Labour value £172.50
Paint and materials £70.00
New Parts - Glass bonding kit £35.00

Plus Vat at £48.57

This seems expensive or is it just me?
