Hi! Way hey, second post and going strong :)

I've been looking into chipping the Leon Tdi 110. Having had a chat with Tdi110, the UPsolute chip seems ideal. I haven't got a Leon yet, but would like some advise:-

1. Any experience with 'smoke' from the exhaust after chipping? This puts me off getting a chip, especially in a diesel.

2. Is the chip detectable by a Seat Dealer?

3. Taking traction control off, will I be able to drive the car without it wheel spinning in low gears if driven 'carefully' (Thinking of my girlfriend driving it!)

4. I will be doing the decent thing and imforming the insurance company :(

a) How would this effect my premium? What will it effectively take it to eg. Group 12 insurance? If it's as high as a Cupra Group 16 I'll have second thoughts.

b) Hints and tips to 'soften' the blow to the insurance company?

5. Any other info.

Cheers!
Goot :)

Hi there,
1. I won't think you'd get more than normal (unless you go get one of those cheezy tuning boxs)
2. No
3. Depends what you mean by carefully ;) Seriously, why would you switch the traction control off? I've tried it in the wet, the traction control helps alot.
