Remap tuning

i noticed recently that Revo are now offering performance remaps for more basic NA engines in the vag range. iv known for sometime that they offered a remap for the R32 engine.

what is improved upon in the map? i.e increased fueling timing? is there anything else? what in total is actually changed on a NA remap ignoring a custom remap where the map makes the most of other mods such as uprated cams etc

I think its the stuff you mentioned - timing mainly i imagine. Especially with the likes of optimax that most cars aren't mapped as std to take advantage of. There's not too much to play with i guess but theres a few parametres to be tweaked i'm sure.

Gives about 10% extra bhp on the basic N/A's doesn't it?

that is what the revo website states..so say a 75bhp car get 7.5bhp roughly

not something to shout about i guess but certainly better value than say a 200quid induction kit

its just not as easy to understand as per turbo charged engines where u just knock up the boost and adjust the fueling/timing
