Hi guyz,

Following my previous moans and whinges about my 'howling' and squeaking brakes as some of you may well have seen in my previous posts, and possibly some of you have experienced in your own cars (with standard pads).
I have got me a set of EBC Greens. They are presently doing my car absolutely no use at all as they are sat on my desk in the office, but hopefully by the end of the week they will be attached to the correct place on the car.

I have only got the fronts for now but will get the backs done in due course once I have established if the problem is the front brakes. I will have to get use to not braking quite so hard again and drive a little more sedate for a few hundred miles until they bed themselves in also, which will be a novelty. lol

Once I have got them bed'd in I will be able to let you know if this is the solution to the howling brake problem that I know many people will have experienced (there have been quite a few complaints to my dealer about it from other people), and if it is so, then I think it will be a case of putting that pen to paper again and getting as many people to complain to SEAT as possible and see if they do something about it and replace the pads with better quality pads as part of the warranty (if you are having a problem).

I will let you know how I find the Greens and how they fare when used in urban traffic everyday (I have to drive from one side of Hull to the other every day).

So, for now I will go back to that gentle early braking, are there any effective ways to bed your brakes in faster without causing damage to them? or is it just a time/distance thing?

If anyone does have any ideas then let me know.. ;) cheers.
