After many phone calls, to K&N and Piercross to name a few, i have found no one makes an induction kit for my 1.6, Do any of you know different?
If not i might get one of those universal (quickshift stainless)jobs but they seem expensive if you cant get them to fit!

try getting part numbers for the equivilent vw engine ie polo classic etc, but im sure you will get an induction kit that was made for the 1.6 cordy as marty has one,
O !! MARTY !!
what make is your kit again???:D
Why not just 'swiss cheese' (drill holes) your airbox and fit an ITG or K&N filter? You'll get the same effect for less money - it's what we used to do to Golfs. It's debatable whether cone filters flow more air than panel filters anyhow.

Wooh! Finally tracked one down! its amazing that I phoned all the big companies that I assume would know there stuff and they couldnt help me! Then in a small ad, I gave it a go and in the latest catalogue, K&N do a dedicated Induction kit for the 1.6 8V. Also they told me its a different part number to the 1.6 8v Polo so there must be some difference!
£73 all in, so I'll be buying that very soon!:)
