Speak to Star Performance as they have been importing more kits than anyone else.

Why bother when you can import from USA cheaper direct? (even if you're unlucky enough to hit fee's)

RobDon

All very well paying cheaper prices but when you have a problem who do you turn to? Probably work out the same price once you've added import duty, VAT and shipping from the USA, turbo kits weigh alot.

posting from one end of the country to the other is expensive too con, im eventually heading towards an atp turbo, over here in NI theres noone in contact with atp, if its as good as people say, it shouldnt be failing too often.
Summit racing who ive dealt with a few times send replacement parts to the uk free, all i had to do was prove the part was faulty and take a pic.(not the weight of a turbo though so cant comment on a heavey item)

Never got that far! Looks like a grand GBP to supply plus delivery.
Is there any good sites comparing the ther S and 287r? LIke the idea of the 400hp one as i bet it would rubn more 360-380 which is what im after.

I odnt go on vortex or any of the other so if there is any stuff on there could someone point me in teh right direction? Want a BB garret really around 380bhp and as littel lag as possible (i.e. how much more laggy is the 28 comp to the s)

I don't think there's been that many been fitted yet, mainly because they don't yet have a replacement exhaust manifold. I know it should fit the stock one, but the stock BAM manifold is considered by many to be too restrictive for higher power outputs, I would guess while you've got the turbo off, you might as well replace the manifold at the same time.

Be careful and confirm your fitment with them, I don't know if anyone has confirmed that the GTRS and the GT2X will fit a 2WD BAM as they don't have them over there. I guess it probably will, but worth checking.

If you're targetting that level of power, you might want to look at upgrading the internals, although the power/torque levels that the standard internals will reportedly take seems to increase on a monthly basis. Also need injectors too.

Time to do some research!

Dam right that’s why im a fat boy m0rk!

Cheers feel but i see star advertising an ATP manifold already? Its £300 and im sure RobDon had it fitted a while ago? Or is there a different one for the Eliminator.

IThe website indicates “seats” as an option on the main poster bit and list it in the drop down box ( it says “seat leon”) So I presume its been checked, mind you assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups!

I think the K04 has a different exhaust housing 'entrance' and also the DP for your LCR has no chance of fitting an eliminator

Feel
04-07-2006, 16:08
Like I say, be careful - RobDon's is a Leon Cupra the DP is in a different place to the LCR.

I think that if you got a manifold and eliminator for a 180 engined car, it wouldn't mate up to your DP.

Like I said, do some research!

EDIT: :schnappp:

Ow, so nmaybe im best lettinga UK agent get the parts etc then as im not sure and i know how hard it is to get sense out of the yanks!

Why wont it fit? If it fits stock location and my DP fits stock location?

EDIT
Ah ok, i presumed because he put a K04 on his that it was then the smae position as the LCR?

Rob didn't have a stock k04 like yours, was a k03x 'style' housing

Scotty_b

Ow im sure i read it was a hybrid K04? Or does that mean a K04 in a K03s housing?

So i take it the GTRX/GTRS/GT287R are all called the same and you specify "K03" or "K04"? Maybe thats where i lost the plot?

Bugger got my hope sup when i saw that price!

Saul

hybrid k04 to suit k03s location and exhaust

the elminators for rhd are based on k03s replacements iirc

Scotty_b

Ok i def need to do some more reading up as i was under the impression it would work on the LCR. Need to sign up to vortex i think

I have a GT2X fitted on my ibiza, it wont be any good for K04 fittment as the down pipe is completely different. You would need the ATP manifold which I and Robdon have fitted, and a new downpipe miltek 2.5inch or similar for 180 leon.

They do do an K04-23 eliminator for the S3, TT. The range is on the website:

GTRS (350bhp):
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-VVW-164&Category_Code=VVWTK

GT2871 (400bhp):
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-VVW-165&Category_Code=VVWTK

Side exit exhaust for the TT one:
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/Catalog%20Images/Vehicle%20Specific/ATP-VVW-164_450.jpg

Compared to k03 one:
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/Catalog%20Images/Vehicle%20Specific/ATP-VVW-163_450.jpg

It does say at the bottom of the page "Fits all Quattro 1.8T S3/TT, does not fit FWD Models". I would guess that the comment about FWD is them trying to make sure that you don't try and fit one to a K03 car, but it would be best to check.

This one will fit phil, the quattro eliminator is what us LCR owners require, i have spoken to ATP about it. The eliminator mani will not fit the Lcr though, the one we require is still in R&D.

 Don't know why the manifold won't fit do you? AFAIK the TT 225 and LCR have the same manifold.

Does look like a GT28R style compressor on a GT28RS doesn't it? Also, the turbine outlet flange on the eliminator looks like a bolt on flat flange adaptor to me?
