Ok, here goes.

I have a 1.4 Ibiza SXe. It's a 'P' Reg 97. Everywhere I read up on em, it just says that they only made a 1.6 SXe.
It's a Carb Model and has a huge 'bin-lid' air filter. 3 Door, Power steering, Power Windows, face lifted 97 big bumbers etc..

So I was wondering where I actually stand in relation to mods and stuff...?
eg, can I get bigger, uprated discs from another model, and still retain the orginal callipers.
Can I buy induction kits..? Is my little brum brum a single point injection carb etc..

Any more help or info on my what now appears to be a misbadged 'Cut and shut' motor...would be greatly appreciated.

A reply from Daz, or someone affiliated with a Dealership etc would be sweet.

Cheers

Kurt

send us ya chassis or reg no and i'll check the specs @ SEAT for you

as for mods , mmm not much around for the motor , but fitting bits from bigger models is ya best bet .

discs/pads if bigger discs fitted you will need the calipers too i should think .

P mmm probably single point , but i'll check it all with the car details etc

Cheers mate.

The reg is P604 NVU. I'll try and find out the chassis number on my lunch ;)

If you could find out some info it would be greatly appreciated. Obviously I want to butcher other VAG cars for parts. My local Seat Dealership ain't too 'Customer Service' focused...

Thanks again.

You can get an induction kit for your car no problem, you will just need to measure the size of the air inlet underneath your air filter box, as there are 2 different sizes. (Just remove your air filter box cover, and filter, and measure the size of the hole in the middle)

You can also fit larger discs, put you would need to change the calipers as well.

Forgot to say, that your car will be a single point injection, more than likely a 60bhp model.
