My car is coming upto the 10k first service mark, how much should we expect to pay for the first service ???

also on your car have you noticed the clutch can sometimes be a bit grindy ?! - I can't get the seats right , either I'm too close or
too far away... these are the only faults I can find on the car...

Oww actually I noticed a seat leon today (y reg) a funny black colour BUT it had silver trim around the head lights and front grill.

Not sure of the model as I only had a view from my rear mirror, any ideas ....?

The service costs depend on age and mileage.

If you have done 10k in less than 8 months or so expect to pay about £60-£70.

If the car is 12 months old expect to pay £125-£150.

The chrome bits you mention is a genuine SEAT accessory

Thanks Swinny,

I've had the leon since june, done around 9200 miles - however when I switch the ignition on it says "Service 300 miles" etc...

So I presume it's working out how hard it's been driven and it reckons it time for a service ?

Services are required every 10,000 miles or 12 months which ever comes first.

So although your countdown is a little early it has done it's job and reminded you.

The reason i quoted two prices is that if you refer to your service book it explains high and low mileage servicing.

Also the servicing dealer will re-set the indicator as part of the service.

You want to try a service at Amethyst in Cheltenham then, Swinnys stomping ground, they'll rip your front end off and stick another one on it :D :D

Grindy clutch, thats what i thought, but it's accually engine vibration that only transmits while pressure is on the peddle:)

I guess you are about 6ft tall?? I have same comfort problems, If I put steering low the way i like it I cant see gauges, and seat is too close with no under thigh support....

Well thanks for the service info, unfortunately Cheltenham is way too far away :( - can anyone recommend a place “up north” ???

I got the car for Arnold Clark (liverpool) - when I collected the car I noticed a couple of scuffs on the front bumber - should these be easy to deal with ?? (imperial blue).

Has anyone had there seat leon serviced at the above place ?

Thanks
Mike

I only had mine serviced there cause i was in the area and they are top lads. :)

But if you want a service in Manchester i'd suggest David Cook Motors in Oldham, they are in my opinion the best SEAT dealership in the Manchester area.

The others are Bells Hyde (complete arse) and Lookers Manchester (still arse) ;)
