Hi guys,,, this the problem of the week:
when startin up the engine on my ibiza, the real-time fuel consumption returns fake values (i.e. 51 liters/100kms. with 45 liters being a filled tank!!! and normal values between 0.0 [when standing still] and 31 liters/100kms [on full acceleration]),,, this problem seems to end when the engine heatens up a little bit and wasn't present on hot summer weather.
What do you think? Does your computer have the same "problem"?

have you recentley had to jump start your car or had an electrical problem. I know Golf's could blow there trip computer or give false readngs. Looks the same unit from the outside (on prefacelifted one anyway), so not sure if it could be that

No, I didn't had any electrical problem apart that the fasten belt sensor doesn't light up when starting up the engine (probably the fuse is gone-blow, i'll check).
Later I talked to my mexhanix and he told me that's probably because when the engine is cold, the starter turns on and the gasoline part in the moisture is very high, so, in theory, the computer is givin true readings.
As for now I got a major hassle to think about,,, the car seems having a problem when steering. sometimes (particulary when parking, in rear gear or 1st one, when moving from standing still) i hear a "clunk" sound from the left suspension,,, the mechanix told me that at a first check averything seems normal, and to come back if it worsens,,, mmmmh,,, i only hope the steering system won't fail when running at 200 kmph,,,
