Dump Valve

Hi everyone,

Last night I went to Nottingham and met up with loads of people who race their cars etc.. around Notts. While I was there i saw a lad driving a Seat ibiza 1.8 turbo just like mine. The only difference was that he had a atmospehric dump valve.

Now this may sound silly but I thought there was not one for this car.

I flagged him down and asked him and he said its Golf Gti turbo one and it works fine.


Any comments?

PS I got mine chipped at Jabba and I am reasonbly happy with the out come.

185-190 bhp
215 torque

No other mods apart from TT recirc valve

Dunno what one he got but most including myself are using the GFB 2in1 hybrid DV from impossible which is both re-circ and Whoosh (adjustable) as other atmospheric valves bring up errors on the ecu or suffer power losses of about 15 bhp. However ive heared a yellow one in s.wales with a Bailey Golf DV on and its nice but was told he done it him self (dunno how though) havent met him yet.
