I got a standard Leon Cupra 2002 with the 6 disk autochanger. What's the easiest way of getting it to play MP3's? Does anyone know who makes the standard audio, maybe they can supply a new autochanger that is MP3 compatible? Apologies if this has been covered before, I'm new around here.

If you want to play MP3 your going to have to change either your head unit or your changer. You can get changers that will play MP3 CDs but i don't know if you'll need a new head unit to play them or not. It depends on whether the changer unit decodes the MP3 or just sends tht data stream to the head unit to be decoded. There are loads of head units that will play MP3, they can take either MP3 CD, memory sticks, some are removable so that you plyg them into your PC via a USB cable, and some take standard audio CDs and record them from the CD to an onboard HD.

I think just about every manufacturer makes an MP3 capable player. It all depends on what functionality you want and how much you are willing to pay.

Thanks all.

I really would love to do this without changing the multichanger. I think my first plan is to find out who manufacture the system. Is it Grundig?
