im Having the H&R cup suspension kit fitted to my 20vt soon by Awesome and was wondering if anyone can help -

- Bump stops - my understanding is to limit suspension travel when under excessive load
- Does the kit come with this
- are bumpstops needed ?
- are they already there on the car

Question for Bill or anybody else. Will be running stock alloys with spacers (from Bill of course !!). will this be a problem as the car will dropped by 40/50 mm. Will they rub or catch ?

many thanks

Hi,

Your car should already have some on it (if not what do you do under excecssive load now?)

they stop the piston punching through the end of the stop

Std ones are a piece of polyeurethane or similar, uprated ones are just stiffer.

You'd be hard pushed to use them - I don't think mine have when I looked at them last.

Yeah they already have stoppers on them. When I had my H&R springs placed on....I had the stoppers trimmed abit (ie hacksaw) to counter for the difference. Towed a box trailer around Australia.
After 9500km on the undulating roads in summer time....no probs with the shocks to date.
