Hi everyone.

Last week i purchased a Seat 1.9 TDi Toledo. It's fairly new, only about 10 months old. I've been reading a bit about engine "chipping" and modifications. I have a few questions which, if possible I would like some light shed on them.

Where can you get your engine chipped ?

Does this affect fuel consumption ?

Do you have to declare it to the insurance company ? If so, does your premium go sky high ?

How exactly does it work ? My engine is 110bhp. If i buy a chip which takes this up to 150bhp for example, does the engine struggle ?

Sorry for my stupid questions.

Thanks.

welcome to the forums. Have a search in the Leon and TDI sections. A couple of TDi owners have chipped there cars, but cant remember off top of my head which manufacture.

I remmember that TDI110 has - you can narrow the search with his name
