Hi Peeps..

I've just bought a pair of Morette Headlamps for my '97 Ibiza.
They came from a local breakers..so sure don't come with any instructions..

I just some confirmation that I have all the requisite parts and stuff you see, as I notice that a few people on this site have carried out the upgrade.

All of the info I can find on the web is just for the Imprezza..
I just need to know if I've got all the requisite parts basically.. I have:

The Morette grill, both L&R Headlamps, with a Green Relay on the passenger unit.

On the Driver's Lamp I have:

1 brown & 1 yellow wire from the main light. The yellow goes to a 4 wire connection block, the brown goes to both bulbs in the inner light and then the connection block (via spade connectors).

2 white wires (one from each bulb in the inner light housing) then also go to the connection block. One actually changes to a blue wire midway along.

The Passenger lamp has:

Almost the exact same set up, except that the wires all run via the relay.

The wires look like they all are in the right places, except for a singe red wire, leading off the relay. It's been cut off about 4" along it's length. I assume this will need an inline fuse fitting (15amp..?) and then attaching to the + terminal on my battery.

There's nothing linking the two units in anyway, and the both units look like they just plug directly into the factory wiring loom, except for this singe red wire from the relay.

Can anyone confirm that this is correct etc, before I blow my entire car wiring loom trying to install them...??

Thanks very much..

Kurt

Sorry, can't help - just have them fitted to my... Impreza!:)

Maybe a search on the Net for Morette? I'm sure they'd help, or do you have a local, friendly tuning shop that sells them? Ask for a bit of advice?

Cheers for the Reply Toonman..

There's NOTHING out there.. if you search for morette wiring etc in google or whatever, it just brings up Imprezza stuff..it's ridiculous..lol

I'm still waiting for a reply from Morette themselves..but hopefully someone will be able to help out.

Fitting the Imprezza ones is a preverbial piece of piss.. we fitted a pair to my mates STi in about an hour... but the wiring is completely different to mine.. :(
