This is the reply I got from my email sent to 4car.co.uk. At least he had the decency to respond.

Hi Mike,

Guess not a lot we can say to your mail except to say you have made your point very cleary. One thought though - what would be the point of deliberately going against the mags? They aren't competition for a TV show and the audience is actually quite different. Jason's comments are not innconsistent with 4car - written by our very experienced road test editor. And no, we don't all work in the same office.

"On a smooth, dry road, the Cupra is entertaining, but its steering is a little too detached, and the chassis could be better composed and roll less under hard cornering. But the biggest problem comes when the road is damp or bumpy, for the Leon really has trouble putting all that power through its front wheels without the traction control intervening. Rivals do it better."

I'm sure though we we will get some Leon mails., Haven't had them yet though.

Well, I gotta admit, he’s right about the bit about wet and bumpy roads…….compared to certain other cars, not all though…….

My first 15 miles to work is windy, bumpy country lanes through the woods, and guess what, my dads Galaxy V6, and my other car, a G-reg Montego 1.6 bounce around a lot less than my Leon, which can be almost uncomfortable at 50+mph down there.

Ever tried suing someone for breach of copyright? I've done it - very, very expensive... Good luck to C4!
