Hi,

I'm about to add an Amp to my Leon and would like to hear if anyone has tried to transfer a cable from the battery + terminal (engine compartment) to the rear trunck (i.e. to the cabin).

Where can I transfer the cable from the engine area to the cabin??? (wouldn't find a hole to get it through... :( )

Thanks,
Rani ;)

There are several gromets behind the dashboard on the cars bulkhead.

The place where we brought the main powerline for my amp is behind the glovebox, with the exit nr where the pollen filter is.

To get to it you will have to remove the glovebox, and its still a tricky procedure, its not something i can really explain or show you.

But if you can find it im sure you'll work it out.

Do I need to remove the windsheild wipers in order to get to those gromets? (the plastic cover seems to be in the way and can't be removed without removing the windshield wipers...)

Thanks,
Rani

no you do not have to remove the windscren wipers

firstly remove the plastic trunking which is directly behind your battery (this contains your main wiring loom ) there are two small screws holind the pollen filter in place after removing this completely you should see grommet behind . i suggest you have either a fuse or a trip switch within the first 18" or so of your cable just in case anything goes wrong . remove the grommet from the hole cut the appropriate size hole and place it onto your power cable now replace everything as it was if done carefully and you rummage about a little behind the glovebox you shouldnt even have to remove the entire glovebox to get the cable .

now just run cable down the passenger side of vehicle
