My dealership is almost as good as amethyst in its service dept!!
left my car in this morning at 9am and picked it up this afternoon and the entire gearbox was replaced as it was sometimes refusing second at med to high revs, ie pushing on a bit, third always made a firm notchy noise when put into gear, then the odd time fell back out, Agnews let me take one of their mechanics out in the car and i showed him what was happening, second gear wasnt so apparent as i couldnt push the car too much in the traffic but third was really notchy from the start, every time I went over 3000rpm and changed up to third it made the noise and a bit of vibration throught the lever.......
saw my old g/box lying on the garage floor when i went back this arvo, to check on progress, it was a bit knackered looking, davey the mechanic said that usually seat recommend replacing the faulty bits only for a car my age, just short of 2 years old, but garage got the whole box and decided it was cheaper to replace the whole thing cause of the amount of labour concerned!!!#
Love my dealership, second car from them and have had hardly anything average or bad to say about them!!
different to mine then, all the gears are okay except third and fourth, which are real pigs to get at times, need two attempts at least, plus its scarey when you fly off a motorway slip road onto a tight bend, drop it down to third...and it won't go in! - the car veers outwards as its in neutral - not nice
Its always been a bit like it bt its been worse since the engine upgrade.

well after a full days driving, i have to say that it is a huge improvement, still not exactly as fluid as i would want it though but its great all the same, now feel like dropping it to third more often ;)
