View Full Version : 2 Weeks To Go !!!
My Ebony Black Leon Cupra is now sat waiting for me at SMC Windsor .... :)
Only trouble is I can't pick it up until 2nd Nov
Counting down the days.....it's gonna be a long 2 weeks ...
Ahhhh.....I remember the feeling well....when you know you can't get your hands on the car for another two weeks....
This is exactly how I felt two and a half weeks ago
And IMHO Ebony Black looks great.......
Hopefully it'll be a quick couple of weeks. :D
Mine is in my dealers hands right now (apparently) and they're just fitting the body kit. But I can't pick it up until November the 8th.
That's just under three weeks. I don't think I'm lucky enough for the time to fly by! :(
Still, the Black Magic (tried for Ebony, not available when I ordered) Leon Cupra will be worth the wait!
How's your, Mik (computer issues aside)?! :)
Phatt!

Don't worry, the Black Magic will look excellent too....
I'm delighted with mine....IMHO it looks much better than a std UK Cupra now I've got my 10-spoke 16"s on. Not as spanky as the black LHD 150TDI Cupra4 that was also at the showroom in Holland......waiting for a UK customer!
You can decide for yourself when I send Lee a picture for the Gallery. (Or Should that be Tony Hart?).
Computer issue looks like operator error
That aside it feels nice & tight....very happy with it. Just waiting to stretch the old right leg muscles a little.... ;)
How much did the kit cost you Phatt ???, are you gonna send in some piccies when u get it ??
Damn my sensible head - I could take the car today, but I don't want the direct debit payments to commence until the start of the month...
Just for a quick fix while I'm waiting , I went and test drove a Cupra at another Seat dealer yesterday......mmmmmmmm ...
Tadger,
The kit was the standard (I think) RRP of around £900 fully fitted (painted etc.).
That's for the front bumper (which isn't *that* much better than the standard one) and the side skirts.
It's a trifle over the odds, but there are two benefits to taking the standard SEAT kit:
(1) It's an "accessory" so the insurance company doesn't care.
(2) It's easy for the garage to get, so no messing about.
All in all the car, kit, and metallic paint came to £16,200 or so.
But then, I'm getting £4,600 for a car that's only worth £3,000 as the deposit. :D :D :D
Amazing what a SEAT dealer will do to sell a motor. Having said that, I don't expect I'm gonna get Amethyst service levels from these people. They haven't returned a single phone call. All gets sorted in the end, though, when my six foot two p1ssed off ass turns up in their showroom demanding to know where the car is! ;)
Phatt!
Mik,
Excellent!
I know what you mean about waiting for the right moment to thrash the ass off it. Hey - sounds like when I started going out with my missus! ;)
I don't know how I'm gonna be able to do that many miles like a normal, well adjusted driver! :D
I'm reckonning you'll have clocked up at least 600 miles by the end of the weekend!
Tadger: I'm gonna send in a whole bunch of pictures when I finally get the machine. :D I think 150 pics or so ought to do it?
Phatt!

Eh?
I thought that (once a DD was set up) you could and change the day of the month that it was "taken" on (??)
I've certainly done this in the past.......
It's not quite as simple as a DD...
I pay the finance company as normal DD, but my company pay me the monthly finance figure net to my salary...
So that it I'm not out of pocket each month, if I take delivery of the car between 1st and 11th, my salary will be credited just before the DD is due...
I can't complain really... my Cupra will cost me ~16 a month which includes :Insurance, tax, servicing, tyres...everything except fuel...
...and I can give the car back after 3 years, or keep it for £4360
When I nipped into a SEAT dealer to get the 2002 brochure, one of the sales guys asked me what I was getting the car for ...when I told him the above - he justed patted me on the back and walked back to his desk :D
let me have a peek when you get it :)
did you not get the rear bumper too no?? :(
never mind , it'll be nice to see it in a darker colour
as for now try site gallery 4 , ZBOYD has posted a pic of his :D
Hey Tadger,
Thats where my car always gets serviced!!, I am popping in there early next week to have a new interior door handle fitted (the rubber coating is peeling off!) so i will keep an eye out for your whilst i'm there!!
I think reg number was: RX51 CJV ???
:p Took delivery of my ebony black leon cupra (with OZ Seat racing alloys) a week ago, well worth the wait.
This is a company car through Fleetlease of Newbury, and was £30 a month less than the Golf GTI which allowed me all the available option except the roof rack and tow bar.
A friend at work order the same spec car the day mine arrived and 2 more are possibly getting the leon cupra next year - maybe I should ask for commision from the garage supplying them (Marshals os Bedford)
This will be the longest 2 weeks of your life, but worth the wait
Are those the OZ F1 Alloys ???
I soo want those on my car, how much did the dealer charge you for them - maybe I could ring the dealer and offer to pay the extra .....
If that fails I guess I'll be after flogging the standard alloys
Tadger,
The car is a company car so I didn't actually pay for them.
They are OZ F1 CUP 7x17" alloys (dark anthacite) as shown on the official Seat site in Leon/accessories/sport (Seat ref: 1M0071491C666) - Seat photo attached.
I did discuss the options with the garage supplying the car and was quoted £301 each + tyres.
HOW MUCH ??????
they retail over here @ 199.99 inc vat , needs 225/45/17 tyres mind too
looked great on a toledo we did last year
