Why is it trying to pretend to be a Cupra R when its an FR? Although i do like the front bumper, shame its such an expensive option
Not sure on the mirrors,
but that is PIMP...!
edit: isnt that the Leon Cupra then???

Do you happen to know what wheels those are?
cheers
wow, that looks sooo smart! i need a payrise
Love those wheels. Tell us more.
oh dear, look at those badges
so i take it the warrenty is void now thats its remapped?
oh dear, look at those badges
I can see what you mean - why use Cupra badges when its not a Cupra; each to their own I guess.
How often is it that the wannabees need to show it off whereas those that have it so to speak are usually (not always mind you) a tad more discrete.
well yes, ive gone for the sleeper look on my car, no flashy badges or bodywork for me. just the stuff to improve handling and performance.

Yep why say its something it isn't?
All that money spent and they couldn't colour code the parking sensors
boot shut lines don't seem to match either.
nice kit and wheels although i think theres too much grey plastic on that kit.
each to there own.

Wouldn’t change my LCR for one
Lose the R badges! TV's looks cool though, and do I spot leather with yellow stitching? If so, that I do like!

I have to admit it's nice, but you can't call it what it's not. the cupra R is no more.

HOW FOOKING MUCH!!! NO CHANCE!!!!! I pity the fool who payed that much!
You can get ALOT of cars for that sort of doh... looks nice tho ;)

I think thats probably a fair price for the level of kit! It's already fairly tricked up so you wouldn't have to spend more money on it! Plus you'll be fairly individual! I still wouldn't buy it, but i'm sure it'll appeal to someone!

Is that what you paid for your car or what the yellow pimped Seat was? Either way no way would i pay that but everyone the there own. I paid less then that for my new Audi A3 2.0 quattro S-Line with lots of extras.

best try and contact L30NKB, for the full spec, and exact pricing, as i said the car was pretty much done to order.we supplied it, L30NKB did the trickery!!
off the top of my head, its a standard fr tdi, SEAT bodykit, cupra r front air dam molded to fit, alloys i believe retail at 2500,its got a few electronic gizmos(!!), twin monitors and playstation 2.
the upholstery, is leather with a carbon fibre grain effect(pics dont do it justice)
remapped to approx 195ish bhp, stainless exhaust, and the usual air filters et all...
its pretty much a one off, and not sure that you would have to pay that kinda money for the same look.
lol we also have a altea fr, with a similar look, and add ons for a few bucks less.
personally i think it looks the dogs...but then i'm biased lol
cheers guys
colin
why do dealers stick all that chrome shit on and expect it to look good, remove all bar the wheels
BicketsSEAT
30-08-2006, 21:31
we havnt stuck anything on at all soz
all we did was supply the car,it was one of our customers that did all the work.
at the moment we are just giving it a home till its new owner returns from abroad to pick it.
£24500:wtf: for that no thanks i would just wait for the new cupra and then you will have what that is trying to be.i do like it but not for that much i would get an audi rs4 instead and have a lot more power :drive1:
liking the TV screens.... and thats about it really.
definatly not liking he wheels, if i had hat car i would fit in perfectly at a maccys at 11pm. too bling i say. but each to their own.

30-08-2006, 21:53
ok then fair point bout the bling lol
tomorrow the poor things gettin dumped out in the scottish rain to try and dull down the shininess lol
so Colin? the Warrenty on engine and related parts is now void due to the remap?

the remap can be set back to standard, courtesy of a usb memory stick that contains all the factory settings, and a good number of the parts are SEAT sport, so that would be a tough call for me.
my guess is that if you bought the car from us, then we'd fix anything that went wrong, unless it had been totally abused.so that would be a yes/no answer.
i'd guess that another dealer may still fix under warranty too, but i'd need confirmation from our warranty manager!
anyway as you well know, SEATS are very reliable and seldom cause problems!

Need to remove the chrome no plate holder, R badges and would look ok - bet it would fool a few in thinking its the new Cupra

what make are them screens, look poooo
I think it looks good, although I really don't like yellow, and the chrome CUPRA, chrome boot lid edge and mirrors look awful in my opinion. Wheels look great (although are crying out for some beefy brakes to go behind them!), as does the aero kit. But £24k+ is ridiculous, thats more than Mk V Golf GTI money, not to mention loads of others.
24500
The price of a brand new R32, ta da,
the R32 would also retain a lot more value after a years ownership.
No mate just a FR with the Aero kit on! I like it though :)
Too bling for my liking. What did it sell for then? (Total price after the mods etc)
D'oh misread the post above. For that money I'd have a new R32 or 2nd hand M3. Not a Seat...

The aero kit looks good in yellow but there is far too much bling and badges there imo - I think the cupra wheels would look nice and.... although i don't want to start that old chestnut again... I wish the cupra looked a bit outrageous like this!!

I popped in for a look today and had a chat with the guy who did the work. I have to say I really like it and it looks even better in the flesh!
I have to say that i'm not surprised by some of the negative comments as this is just a reflection of varying tastes re. mods and looks. At the end of the day some mod for performance and prefer to keep the look standard (stealth), some prefer to concentrate on looks that suit their taste. some like a bit of both.
I have to say there are one or two bits and bobs on that car i would do differently or omit and other things i would do. Each to their own.
Hi
Did you get the revo trial this weekend? If so what do you think?

Hi Paul,
No. never made it this weekend as i was working but but i'm off this weekend coming so i'm going to phone in the next couple of days to see if I can arrange it for friday or saturday. Watch this space. I'm still swithering about getting a new exhaust prior to getting a remap.
Hi all, Pleased with the response my 07my leon fr tdi has received here, would be a shame if we all liked the same thing and had the same ideas. The badges i agree aren't right but i fitted these at the request of the lady who has bought the car from me along with some of the chrome bits. I am pleased with the way the car has turned out and i must thanks Alex and the boys at www.mswuk.com for the wheels and Steve Harvey at Transcal Interiors in Livingston for making a stunning job of the leather. I have driven the car today for the first time and i'm impressed with the differece the remap and full s/steel exhaust and induction mods has made. Still prefer my 06 my LCR though.
Cheers

Hi, which engine mods does it have? ie; exhause, induction kit type.
Hi Dan, Ihave fitted a full twin exit 21/2" bore s/steel exaust from front to back using a v6 audi tdi cat and removing the large rear box behind the bumper and fitting a smaller box in the space below the rear left passenger seat. Also fitted a carbon bmc induction kit which uses a sealed carbon airbox and a 150mm intake hose in behind the front bumper mesh, this was one that used to be fitted to my race skyline gtr. Seems to make good difference when fitted with a remap compared to a few Fr Tdi's i've driven. How's the Tfsi go??
Ahh Yes, I forgot it was a diesel :)
Yep, cars good mate, spent far too much money on it :D

I like it overall, Its sorted like the Cupra, aka a FR with a remap :D
Closest your going to get in a diesel form for a cupra, so why not!
Saying that 24k+ would make me say no!

we have another one(fr with kit) currently in the showroom, maybe slightly less extreme, for more than a tad less!!
without quite as much tampering under the bonnet, more of ablank canvas from a modding point of view
