Chewing gum

Mrs Steve_B trod on some chewing gum on Saturday night and got it on the carpet in the car [:@] She managed to remove the big lump but there's still some of it left on the carpet, anyone got any ideas on how to remove it without damaging the carpet?

get a few ice cubes.. hold it over the gum for a while.. abotu 5 mins or so.. it should make the gum really hard, and just pick it off

Thanks, It's on one of the carpet mats so I can take it out of the car and give it a try.

I was going to have a go with one of the wire brushes that you can get for cleaning shoes if this doesn't work

Try coating it with peanut butter and leave it for 10mins. It works when you get it in your hair.
