Hi there,

I currently drive a Saxo VTR, but I am looking to possibly sell it and replace it with an Ibiza 8v 114bhp model.
I'm a bit of an Ice bloke, at the moment in my Sax i have:
Panasonic CD head unit
Rockford front comps Powered by a rockford 150s
Rockford rear 6x9's
Dual Rockford 10" powered by a Rockford 150s @ 2 ohm stable.

I was looking at some Ibiza's, and it look like there is a standard DIN place for the headunit, it looks like the head unit is, part of the dash board. What do you do when you want to put a new Head Unit in??

Welcome matey. Nice choice in car if you do get the very torquey 8v. Dont worry about fitted a "normal" sized headunit. One will fit in replaceing the old HU no problem- direct replacement. Its the MK3 SEATS (ibiza and cordoba) that are trouble with HU fitting, but in your case (MK2 Ibiza) its fine. I like my ICE too!:D

Yeah, cheers for that then mate!
Would the head unit go in the centre console, or under the steering wheel like yours? Do you find that the boot panel vibrates much? My sax needs to be sound proofed at the moment!

Is yours the turbo version then? It's looking pretty sweet mate!

mate- my ibiza is the MK3- the one your looking to buy (8v) is a MK2.....the MK2 headunit would fit in the centre console just by simply taking the old HU out, and slapping a new one in.

mine is the turbo yes. boot did rattle a little bit, but ive sorted that with 3 layers of sound proofing material along with the front doors.
