URGENT HELP !!my airbag warning light has come on and has stayed on ,anyone got any ideas as this is a bit of a dodgy area for my capabilities i presume the only way is main dealer ,can i switch them off as i'm not a big fan of the things anyway??:cheers:

Don't mess with the bags Jason. Way too dangerous when they set off during cruise ;). Dealer should sort it out.

Yeah jason, get that sorted, its a dodgey dilemma, happened 2 my oldman, in his motor, im the only proud "SEAT" owner :cool: in the house,my bro has a 99 corsa sport and my dad has a 00 Astra comfort both Opels, better engine than Vauxhall,has 2 be said :D , so i reckon u should get ur candy ass down 2 ur dealer

Hi Jason, ive just done an airbag on a salvage Fiat Bravo, If they work on the same princaple! all i did was remove the two screws out the back of the steering wheel and the air-bag unit pulls off from the wheel. Then there is a little wire which clips onto the airbag unit. If you just want to de-activate your airbag perhaps you could just fetch the airbag unit off and take the wire off. As for the little light this Bravo's light stayed on so all i did was unclip the unit/switch thingy and took the wires off.
