Alright guys.

I've recently bought an RNS510 to replace the RNS310 factory fitted to my Cupra R.

I got the unit installed and all seems to be working. I managed to get the MFD to show media and nav information with a few vagcom tweaks.

Now to my problem.....I'm trying to change to the splash screen/boot logo as the unit was from a VW. I've followed the various guides for using the http://www.netdata.be/iso/ website. All appeared to go as described but the boot image is now just a black screen. The unit still functions as it should, so its not bricked just yet.

Have any of you used this method to update a newer RNS510? Ive looked at the version.txt file within the iso provided and it only seems to list earlier RNS part numbers and firmwares. Is this site still relevant?

The other thing I wondered, is if when creating the iso should I be selecting VW? The unit came form a VW after all, or SEAT as its now fitted to a SEAT?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Matt.

I get this all the time with people downloading the bricking software from netdata. They're responsible for about 3 bricks on my shelf alone, and about a dozen others I've been sent I've managed to repair them.

If you're still trying to get a Seat boot screen then I'd suggest not bothering, and either live with the blank screen startup or risk bricking it trying to get it back to standard.
