FROM KARL:- 3 words. VALUE FOR MONEY ;) (ps 150unit here tommorow) lol
3 WORDS: In HIS DREAMS

bloody hell maz, you even get your power and torque round the wrong way, didnt know AmD was that good to get 313ftlb at 4182 rpm ;)
Dunno what your talking about  looks good to me. Cheers for pointing it out matey :)

As for Karl. This is especially for him.

If we look at Mr. Strugers graph his power graph peaks sooner at around 3750 and dies of quickly where mine is a nice smooth to 193 @ 4182 and still 188 at 4500. Mr Strugers map also is 15bhp lower than mine @ 4500 rpm and mine at 5000rpm is still hitting 183BHP.

He also has a drop at 2500 rpm where as mine is smooth with no drop at all. As for the torque curve...it speaks for itself. I rest my case young ones :)

the drop was due to my maf though!!!
still pound for pound my 130 still has the title
i soent a lot less to get 64nhp gains than you did for 44 lol
an jabba were gits cos they sai when i get a clutch they would tweak my map for a bit more and when i got the clutch they refused to do it
but new turbo here tomorrow then 240bhp here we come

Forge Catch Tank
------

Forge Catch Tank now installed and special thanks to Nick@AmD for doing this (he has the fastest white Van I ever seen). Leon TDIs being what they are we were struggling to find a nice home for it but eventually settled for it to be next to the Airbox and Battery cover. There was a bolt nicely placed for it and it was a little bit of a squeeze but with two people it is possible.

The Forge Catch Tank is a Nice bit of kit. Only problem is I had to purchase additional hosing to which I chose black oil grade hose for OEM look and small blue silicone hose to connect to the engine fittings. This is only required for TDIs.

- Oil Grade Hose was 16mm in width. Approx 1.5 meters
- Samco hose was 19mm in width. Length required: Approx 6inches

Here are the results:

Pancake to Turbo SFS hose update
-----

Interesting bit of news for us TDI people. SFS have created a pancake to turbo hose. From the look of it (almost 50% bigger in size) it should make a massive difference in terms of flow and performance. However the OEM pipe connecting to the turbo has a smaller hole. I think that may be done for a reason to control boost levels to the turbo. My removing the restriction it may make the car jerkier and shorten the life of the turbo??? Makes you wonder about the pancake pipe as well....

karl has basically done this and his turbo is still fine, well it seems fine lol, how much is the price for this?
are you on about the hole on the inlet bit to the turbo from the pancake pipe? this pipe will hopefully give good gains as it was spoken about before about karls one

Karls is a little different as he got rid of the pancake pipe completely but I see what your saying. I believe he is still retaining the OE turbo to pancake pipe and thats the one I am curious about. Like I said the whole may have been made smaller to control the boost...Not sure on price havent got mine yet.

Dead pedal
-----

Yea baby! :D Been waiting for one for ages and it came along finally. Here is a guide on how to install it for when they come more readily available.

Before you can install the dead pedal you have to take off the existing plastic footrest, his isn't hard. There is one screw and two lugs that you have to be aware of. Once you undo the screw and it might need a small tug for the lugs to release.

Its important for obvious reasons that you clean the footrest well as it will be pain to clean once the dead pedal is on top of it.

Most important part of the installation is to make sure that the lower part of the dead pedal lines up perfectly before drilling a hole. Mark where you want the bottom to reside and drill. This will then be the template for the top part.

The plastic footrest is quite thin so be careful when drilling.

Line up the top part to your preferred position. Be aware of the plastic footrest lip, you don't want to metal one to go over that section. Furthermore when drilling you have to be careful how far you drill down as there are clips directly underneath.

End result - looks pretty good :)

Just so people know there is a slotted FR version available too which I am being send soon.

Write up on how I installed it tomorrow.
