I'd want the back of my bonnet to be as secure as possible, not raised up and in line to come through the screen if I hit anything. Safety hooks at the back would be more use.
I had them on a highly tuned Ford on DCNF Twin 40s. They were quite useful in lowering the under bonnet air pressure and forcing air into the carbs. Not sure what the advantage would be on an Ibiza. May help in lowering under bonnet temps perhaps?
I did break SEVERAL bonnet catches/cables when I had them on though!!
